BIL Suisse Extends Decade-Long Tech Pact with Avaloq

After ten years of collaboration, Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (Suisse) SA has renewed its core banking agreement with Avaloq. The Swiss-based bank will continue utilizing Avaloq’s software-as-a-service platform to manage its infrastructure and regulatory requirements, signaling a deepening commitment to the firm’s digital banking architecture.

The renewed partnership shifts focus toward joint innovation, specifically targeting the secure integration of third-party services. This involves upgrading the bank’s know-your-customer processes and data connectivity protocols to streamline risk management and ecosystem integration. Christian Haux, managing director for Avaloq in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, noted that the collaboration aims to drive higher levels of automation and refine the client experience.

BIL Suisse operates across Switzerland with a headcount of roughly 120 employees stationed in Geneva, Zurich, and Lugano. The bank recently expanded its physical footprint with a new office in Geneva. For Avaloq, a subsidiary of NEC Corporation, this deal follows a series of recent expansions, including major service agreements with a group of four cantonal banks and Arab Bank Switzerland earlier this year.
