Fora Reaches Unicorn Status With $60 Million Series D

A $60 million funding round has pushed travel platform Fora to a $1 billion valuation, signaling sustained investor confidence in the hybrid model of AI-assisted human travel planning. Led by Forerunner and Tactile Ventures, the Series D injection brings the company's total capital raised since 2021 to $138.5 million.

The platform functions as both an infrastructure provider for aspiring travel agents and a marketplace for travelers seeking expert guidance for complex trips to destinations like Costa Rica and Thailand. By automating administrative drudgery—such as itinerary drafting and research—via its AI assistant Via, Fora aims to shift the advisor's role toward client relationship management rather than manual logistics.

Since its inception, the platform has facilitated over $3 billion in travel bookings, largely driven by a workforce new to the industry. Beyond expanding the capabilities of its AI tool, the company plans to utilize the fresh capital to broaden its offerings into new travel segments, specifically cruises and flights, while scaling its operations to support a growing network of independent advisors.
