Ex-Wife Identifies ICE Agent in Fatal Biddeford Shooting

Ashley Brouillette says her ex-husband, a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent, pressured her to provide a false alibi following the fatal shooting of Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero in Biddeford, Maine. She alleges he claimed the use of force was justified because the victim attempted to strike him with a vehicle.

The Portland Press Herald reports that Ashley Brouillette reviewed video footage of the incident and confronted her former spouse, David Michael Brouillette, stating the recording contradicts his claim that the victim charged at him with a car. Beyond the shooting itself, she alleged a history of abuse and noted she had previously reported concerns regarding the US Army veteran’s mental health to his military superiors. She claims she and her family have faced threats since his alleged role in the killing surfaced.

The Department of Homeland Security has declined to name any agents involved in the incident. David Brouillette, a 37-year-old Manchester resident who holds various public safety roles, did not respond to multiple requests for comment. However, other accounts have corroborated his presence at the scene. Witness Daniel Boucher reported seeing an agent matching the officer's description, and three former colleagues from the Manchester Fire Department identified Brouillette in images taken from video of the Biddeford shooting. The officer was previously identified by TheICEList.org, a public record project tracking immigration enforcement actions.
