Since taking office, the administration has prioritized the rollback of safety-focused regulations established under the previous government. Despite legislative attempts—such as the bill introduced by Rep. Michael Baumgartner—to restrict state-level oversight, the White House continues to frame global governance as an impediment to the rapid development of generative AI.
