In a 296-page report titled "You Feel Like You Are Subhuman," the group details evidence gathered through satellite imagery, video footage, and interviews with survivors. The findings allege that Israel has systematically carried out prohibited acts under the Genocide Convention, including mass killings, the infliction of serious bodily harm, and the deliberate creation of living conditions intended to bring about the physical destruction of Palestinians in the enclave. Amnesty reports that Israeli authorities failed to respond to substantive inquiries regarding these allegations between October 2023 and October 2024.
Agnès Callamard, secretary-general of Amnesty International, stated that the organization’s research demonstrates a specific intent to destroy the Palestinian population, noting that the conduct of the military, combined with dehumanizing language from officials and soldiers, provides sufficient evidence to support the charge. With the death toll exceeding 44,500 people—nearly 70% of whom are women and children—the report calls on the international community to move beyond rhetoric.
