Horizon3 hits $2 billion valuation as AI-driven cyber threats mount

San Francisco-based cybersecurity startup Horizon3 has secured $250 million in Series E funding, tripling its valuation to $2 billion in just 14 months. The capital injection comes as enterprises scramble to stress-test their infrastructure against a new wave of sophisticated, AI-accelerated attacks that bypass traditional security protocols.

The firm’s flagship NodeZero platform distinguishes itself by conducting continuous, autonomous penetration testing across entire networks rather than the 2-3% sampling typical of legacy annual audits. According to Chief Revenue Officer Matt Hartley, the platform allows for live system testing without operational downtime, a technical hurdle that has hampered competitors. The company reported nearly $100 million in annual recurring revenue last year, supported by a 120% growth rate that leadership expects to accelerate.

Horizon3 is now scaling its international footprint with planned offices in Amsterdam, Australia, and Singapore. The funding round attracted strategic backing from EDBI, SAIC, and Qualcomm, highlighting the urgent demand for automated defense tools. With a customer base of approximately 7,300 organizations, the founders—Joint Special Operations Command veterans Snehal Antani and Anthony Pelletier—are betting that the shift toward continuous security will define the next phase of enterprise risk management.
