Antonio Pinto launches Bingers to fill the void left by TV Time

When Whip Media shuttered the popular TV Time app to pivot toward artificial intelligence, over 28,000 users petitioned to save it. Now, original co-founder Antonio Pinto is answering that demand with Bingers, a new tracking platform designed to restore the community-driven social features that defined its predecessor.

Pinto observed that TV Time maintained a massive, active user base despite years of neglect and lack of updates. Recognizing this as proof of a unique social ecosystem, he built Bingers to replicate the forum-style interactions where fans shared theories, memes, and episode commentary. The platform allows users to import their previous TV Time archives, effectively salvaging the data libraries that were otherwise lost when the original app was pulled from stores on July 15, 2026.

Functionality centers on three pillars: content tracking, discovery, and social networking. Beyond simple checklists, the app supports profile-based interactions, including the ability to post photos, GIFs, and emoji-based reactions to specific episodes. To sidestep the financial pitfalls that led to TV Time’s demise, Pinto implemented a local-first architecture. By offloading processing tasks like viewing calendars to the user’s own device, the app significantly reduces server-side costs. Bingers is currently available for iOS and Android, with initial funding relying on voluntary user contributions to sustain operations.
