The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has aggressively expanded its market reach, issuing seven distinct tenders since early June. These offerings cover millions of barrels for delivery between August and October, with loading points strategically split between Persian Gulf ports like Zirku and Das Island, and the critical Fujairah terminal located safely outside the chokepoint. The shift in strategy relies heavily on ship-to-ship transfers conducted offshore in Fujairah or Malaysia, effectively shielding supply chains from regional volatility.
The UAE Bypasses Hormuz Blockade to Reach Record Production
Since exiting OPEC on May 1, the United Arab Emirates has successfully circumvented the Strait of Hormuz blockade to restore oil exports to pre-crisis levels. By utilizing onshore pipelines and covert tanker operations, the country reached a record output of 4.1 million barrels per day in June.

International Energy Agency estimates highlight the scale of this pivot, noting production climbed from 3.3 million barrels per day in May to 4.1 million by June. By operating tankers in 'dark mode' through the Strait and leveraging the Habshan-Fujairah pipeline to move crude from the west to the east, the UAE has outpaced other Gulf producers in total volume exported through the region. This dual-track approach of physical infrastructure bypasses and maritime evasion has allowed the nation to maintain flow despite the ongoing closure of the primary shipping lane.
