Reporting directly to Belal Khan, the bank’s head of family office coverage, Cabral is tasked with expanding the institution's footprint within the UAE’s competitive wealth landscape. The move underlines the increasing importance of third-party intermediaries—such as multi-family offices and independent asset managers—as essential conduits for attracting high-net-worth clients to major banking platforms.

Cabral arrives at Barclays with a background in private capital management. He previously served as CEO of the single-family office GFG Alliance and held the position of managing director and global head of key clients at Lighthouse Canton. Beyond his banking experience, his professional history includes advisory roles at Beacon Media and Hyderabad FC, providing a diverse perspective to the bank’s regional operations.
