Runable Secures $21 Million to Move Beyond AI Website Building

After demonstrating that AI can build a functional website in minutes, Bengaluru-based startup Runable is shifting its focus toward the more complex challenge of customer acquisition. The company raised $21 million in a Series A round to fund an AI agent capable of managing marketing, ad campaigns, and SEO for small businesses.

The funding round, co-led by Susquehanna Venture Capital and Nexus Venture Partners, brings Runable’s valuation to $65 million. Founded in 2025 by Umesh Kumar and Saksham Sarda, the startup initially focused on browser-based data scraping. However, user demand for automated content creation pushed the 15-person team to pivot toward a general-purpose agent. This transition proved lucrative, with the company reaching a $2 million annualized revenue run rate within three weeks of launching its payment system in March.

While the market for AI coding assistants like Cursor and Replit remains crowded, Runable is positioning itself as an outcomes-focused platform for non-technical entrepreneurs. Rather than requiring users to manually integrate disparate marketing and analytics tools, the platform aims to handle the entire business lifecycle. Currently, the startup reports 1.7 million registered users, with significant traction in the U.S., Japan, and the UK. Despite negative gross margins driven by high inference costs, CEO Umesh Kumar expects falling compute prices and internal model optimizations to improve profitability as the company scales.
