HSBC Private Bank Shuffles Leadership to Capture Asian Wealth Flows
HSBC Private Bank has initiated a strategic reshuffle of its senior leadership team, targeting the lucrative Global India, Singapore, and offshore China markets. The appointments aim to consolidate the bank's influence across key wealth hubs as international lenders compete for a larger share of the region’s ultra-high-net-worth families.

The bank has also bolstered its local and offshore desks in Singapore. Lay Hong Tan, a veteran with 15 years in private banking and a background at UBS, will lead the domestic coverage team for high-net-worth families. Jay See, formerly of Credit Suisse and UBS, joins to head the offshore China market desk. These additions reflect a broader trend of aggressive talent acquisition among international banks seeking to deepen their footprint in Asian financial centers.
