Fambot Launches AI 'Chief of Staff' to Simplify Family Logistics

Between navigating school newsletters, youth sports schedules, and endless group chats, modern parents are drowning in a digital mental load. Fambot, a new startup founded by former Instagram and Uber veterans, aims to automate these administrative burdens by acting as an AI-powered personal assistant designed specifically for family life.

Founders David Reich, Greg Karlin, and Jason Morrow developed the tool after struggling to manage the sheer volume of daily communications that often cut into quality time with their own children. Unlike basic chatbots, Fambot integrates directly with a user’s email, calendar, and messaging platforms to generate curated daily checklists. It anticipates upcoming obligations, allowing parents to move from reactive information management to proactive scheduling. The system operates on a privacy-first model, ensuring user data is not used to train external AI models.

While many AI agents rely solely on text-based interfaces, Fambot provides dedicated mobile and web applications to support more complex interactions. This architectural choice enables the startup to build advanced features that go beyond simple messaging, with plans to integrate directly into specific school and club management software. Following a successful beta test with over 1,000 households—a group that spanned single-parent homes and diverse family structures—the company is positioning itself as a universal utility for the 43 million U.S. households with children under 16. Backed by 3.5 million dollars in pre-seed funding from investors including NextView Ventures and Baukunst, the service is currently free to use, with a subscription-based pricing model expected once it exits beta.
