The report detailed a letter allegedly authored by Trump for a book compiled by Ghislaine Maxwell to mark Epstein’s 50th birthday. According to the Journal, the message featured a marker-drawn outline of a naked woman and a signature placed to mimic pubic hair. Trump has vehemently denied the allegations, labeling the account a fabrication and asserting he never drew the depicted image or used the language attributed to him.
The lawsuit, filed in the district of Judge Aileen Cannon, alleges libel and slander. It arrives amid heightened political pressure regarding the disclosure of federal files related to Epstein. While Republicans in Congress have resisted attempts to force a full release of the documents, the administration recently signaled a shift, with Attorney General Pam Bondi stating a readiness to move to unseal grand jury transcripts.
