The investment was led by Paladin Capital Group, with support from existing backers including KOMPAS VC, Frumtak Ventures, and EIC. Current enterprise customers for the platform include Amazon and Logitech, who utilize the software to refine how devices process sound in complex environments. By moving away from internet-scraped audio data toward physics-based simulation, Treble aims to improve speech recognition, noise suppression, and virtual prototyping for consumer electronics.
Icelandic startup Treble secures $18 million to simulate sound for AI
Iceland-based Treble has raised $18 million in an extension of its Series A funding, bringing the company’s total capital to over $40 million. Founded by acoustic engineers Finnur Pind and Jesper Pedersen, the firm provides a simulation platform designed to help developers test voice AI models and hardware acoustics.

Beyond traditional voice AI, the startup is expanding into the physical AI sector, supporting robotics, automotive, and drone manufacturers. A significant portion of this growth centers on wearable technology, specifically smart glasses and advanced headphones. According to Pind, the goal is to enable "superhuman hearing" capabilities, allowing users to isolate voices in crowded spaces or filter background noise during seminars. Francois Ruether, VP of Paladin Capital Group, noted that as hardware becomes increasingly reliant on sound-based input, Treble’s infrastructure is positioned to become a foundational layer for the next generation of voice-enabled devices.
