The finalists were selected from thousands of global applicants, representing a shift toward capturing signals once deemed too complex for prediction. The participants are applying machine learning to diverse fields, ranging from modeling wildlife behavior and human biological clocks to deploying hydrogen-powered kinetic launchers for space cargo. Each company will have six minutes on the Disrupt Stage to demonstrate their technology during four semifinal sessions scheduled for October 13 and 14.
The competition features a wide array of specialized innovation. In the health and life sciences track, companies such as Intero Biosystems are growing miniature human organs to optimize drug development, while TimeTeller GmbH focuses on molecular diagnostics to refine treatment efficacy. Meanwhile, the enterprise and security sector sees entrants like Apate.ai, which utilizes conversational bots to neutralize scam operations, and CedarDB, which provides a data engine specifically designed for the requirements of AI agents.
