Founded in 2023, Scimplify uses its proprietary AI platform, Scinode, to slash the time required to develop and deliver critical materials. By deploying specialized agents to manage research, manufacturing, and regulatory compliance, the startup has reduced project timelines from over a year to as little as two months. This efficiency has proved vital for the semiconductor, energy, and defense sectors, which now represent half of the company’s revenue.
Scimplify Secures $25M to Disrupt Chinese Control of Chemical Supply
As global manufacturers scramble to decouple from Chinese supply chains, Indian startup Scimplify has raised $25 million to scale its AI-driven specialty chemicals platform. The funding round, led by Hitachi Ventures, pushes the Bengaluru-based company's valuation to $250 million as it targets rapid expansion into U.S. and Japanese markets.

Co-founder Sachin Santhosh noted that the startup manages a network of over 500 partner factories, primarily in India, to produce materials that are currently difficult to source outside of China, such as tungsten derivatives and rare earth elements. With an annualized revenue run rate of $200 million—a threefold increase over the past year—the company is now EBITDA-positive. Plans for the new capital include a $7.5 million investment to establish a physical manufacturing footprint in the United States and further refinement of its AI agents, as Scimplify looks to capture a larger share of the international industrial market.
