Eight Million March in Historic Nationwide 'No Kings' Protests

An estimated eight million Americans mobilized across all 50 states on Saturday, participating in over 3,300 demonstrations to denounce the authoritarian policies of President Donald Trump. Organizers labeled the event the largest single-day protest in United States history, spanning from major metropolitan hubs to small rural communities.

The flagship rally in Saint Paul, Minnesota, drew an estimated 200,000 attendees. The event featured a lineup of high-profile speakers, including Governor Tim Walz, Senator Bernie Sanders, Representative Ilhan Omar, and activist Jane Fonda. Rock legend Bruce Springsteen provided a musical centerpiece, debuting "Streets of Minneapolis," a track composed to honor Renee Good and Alex Pretti.

Demonstrations were not confined to the Midwest. Aerial footage captured massive crowds in Washington, D.C., New York City, Philadelphia, Chicago, and San Diego. In San Francisco, activists gathered on Ocean Beach to form a human sign declaring, "Trump must go now!" Beyond U.S. borders, solidarity events occurred in London and Madrid. The coalition behind the movement cited public frustration over power centralization, an unauthorized war, and perceived threats to civil liberties as the primary drivers for the record-breaking turnout.
