Deutsche Bank’s chief investment officer, Christian Nolting, conducted a live poll revealing that 23 percent of attendees view inflation as their primary concern, while 17 percent highlighted artificial intelligence. This figure marks a sharp rise in AI-related anxiety, as only 5 percent of respondents flagged the technology as a top risk during the previous year's event.
Family Offices Identify Interest Rates as Primary Economic Threat
Thirty-seven percent of family offices and high-net-worth individuals surveyed at a recent Singapore summit identified rising interest rates and bond yields as the most significant barriers to economic growth. The data, captured during the Emerging Markets Family Office Forum 2026, underscores a shift in investor risk perception.

Despite these concerns, the survey participants expressed strong confidence in the region. Seventy-three percent of those polled named Asia as the most stable geopolitical environment for the coming 12 months. This sentiment places the region far ahead of the US, which garnered 14 percent of the vote, and Europe, which trailed at 6 percent. Marco Pagliara, head of emerging markets for Deutsche Bank’s private banking division, noted that families are actively seeking risk mitigation and connectivity, positioning Singapore as a premier hub for global wealth management.
