The program addresses chronic talent shortages in the UK wealth sector, where firms struggle to balance automation with the need for skilled advisors. Participants spend the first three months pursuing formal qualifications before transitioning to client-facing responsibilities, such as meeting observation and professional networking. This structured approach replaces traditional, resource-heavy entry paths with a model that prioritizes internal mobility and practical, on-the-job development.
Titan Wealth Opens Internal Academy to Bridge Talent Gap
Eight employees with no prior advisory experience have joined the inaugural Titan Wealth Academy, a six-month initiative designed to cultivate the next generation of financial planners. By covering qualification costs and providing paid training, the London-based firm aims to dismantle socioeconomic barriers currently hindering industry entry.

Pavitar Padam, who leads the initiative, noted that the industry must actively create routes for diverse backgrounds to ensure planners reflect the communities they serve. By removing financial hurdles and offering mentorship, the firm intends to expand the talent pool beyond those who can afford independent professional certification. The current cohort is expected to complete their R06 exams and begin advising clients by April, setting a template for future intakes that may include external candidates and those switching careers. Titan Wealth, which manages approximately £47 billion in client assets, views this investment as a critical step toward securing long-term expertise in a competitive global market.
