Vanguard’s new actively managed mutual fund aims to surpass the Bloomberg US High Yield 2% Issuer Cap Index. By leveraging the expertise of a fixed-income group that oversees $3 trillion in global assets, the firm intends to offer a higher total return through rigorous security selection. Vanguard and JOHCM Expand Fixed Income and Emerging Market Offerings
Vanguard is targeting income-seeking investors with the launch of its USD High Yield Corporate Bond Fund, while J O Hambro Capital Management has introduced an Irish-domiciled UCITS fund focused on emerging market equities, marking a strategic expansion for both asset managers in the competitive wealth advisory space.

Simultaneously, J O Hambro Capital Management has debuted its Emerging Markets Fund, managed by a team led by Emery Brewer. With $1.2 billion in assets under management for this strategy, Brewer is joined by Ladislav Sabo and Dalibor Kovác. The fund employs a high-conviction, all-cap approach that targets companies at inflection points using signals from news flow, earnings, and price momentum. Classified as Article 8 under EU sustainability regulations, the fund seeks to outperform the MSCI Emerging Markets Index over a five-to-seven-year horizon by blending secular and recovery growth strategies.
