Vontobel Assets Hit Record SFr255 Billion in 2026

Zurich-based investment firm Vontobel reached a record SFr255.1 billion in assets under management during the first nine months of 2026. This 6 percent increase over the previous year was driven by a combination of market performance, foreign exchange effects, and sustained growth in private client inflows.

The firm recorded SFr1.9 billion in net new money during this period, though the underlying performance reveals a divergence between client segments. Private clients contributed SFr3.8 billion in net inflows, showing consistent demand across all geographic regions. Conversely, institutional clients saw net outflows of SFr2.0 billion. These institutional figures were heavily influenced by specific strategic shifts, including SFr5.1 billion in outflows from quality growth strategies and SFr1.6 billion tied to the insourcing of the Futura fund management mandate by Raiffeisen.

On an adjusted basis, the firm reported total net new money of SFr8.4 billion, bolstered by robust interest in fixed income products. Beyond new investments, the jump in total assets was supported by SFr8.7 billion from market performance and SFr5.5 billion from foreign exchange effects. By the end of September 2026, these factors combined to push the total asset base SFr14.4 billion higher than the levels recorded at the end of 2025.
