AI note-taking startup Granola is launching an Apple Watch application designed to capture audio and transcribe conversations directly from the wrist, targeting users who prefer seamless, hands-free interaction during walking meetings or quick one-on-one sessions.
While competitors have explored dedicated hardware for audio capture, Granola opted to leverage the existing Apple ecosystem to streamline development. This release follows a significant growth period for the company, which achieved unicorn status earlier this year after securing $125 million in a Series C funding round led by Index Ventures. The move places Granola in direct competition with other dictation tools like Monlogue that have recently expanded into similar wearable, multi-modal transcription services.
