Meta initially entered the enterprise space this June by launching AI agents for customer support, but the company now views this as a foundational step. By repurposing internal productivity tools—including those for coding and development—Meta intends to capture market share among both small businesses and larger corporate entities. Zuckerberg noted that the company plans to monetize these services through a performance-based model, mirroring the structure of its existing advertising ecosystem where revenue is tied to delivered outcomes.
The company is also weighing the potential to lease out its massive compute capacity. While Zuckerberg acknowledged that selling hardware time could yield significant short-term premiums over cost, he warned against liquidating infrastructure needed for Meta’s long-term research into personal superintelligence. Instead, the company is adopting a portfolio approach, balancing immediate profitability against the compute demands of future AI product development.
