Julius Baer Taps Former Bank of Singapore Manager for Southeast Asia

Nira Tanoko, a seasoned veteran of the wealth management sector, has been named the new market head for Southeast Asia at Julius Baer. Based in Singapore, she will report directly to region head Jimmy Lee, taking charge of the bank’s efforts to service high and ultra-high net worth clients across the territory.

Julius Baer Taps Former Bank of Singapore Manager for Southeast Asia

Tanoko joins the Swiss private bank after a twenty-year career at Bank of Singapore, where she most recently served as market head for Indonesia. Her appointment comes as Julius Baer celebrates two decades of operations in Singapore and Hong Kong, signaling a push to deepen its regional footprint.

This leadership change follows a period of robust growth for the firm. Julius Baer recently reported a record net profit of SFr673 million for the first half of the year, representing a 128 percent increase compared to the previous period. Assets under management have also climbed to a record SFr547 billion. Beyond its Asian expansion, the bank is actively scaling its global reach, including a recent strategic agreement with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism to support family offices and international business owners.
