Airtable currently reports annual recurring revenue of approximately $480 million, a 20% increase year-over-year as of June 2026. Despite its diminished price tag, the company maintains a massive footprint, serving over 500,000 organizations, including 80% of the Fortune 100. Earlier this year, the firm expanded its reach by launching Superagent, an orchestration platform designed to deploy teams of AI agents for complex business tasks.
Bending Spoons acquires Airtable in $1.28 billion deal
A steep valuation drop defines Bending Spoons’ latest move: the newly public tech firm has agreed to acquire spreadsheet startup Airtable for $1.28 billion. This purchase follows a dramatic shift for the database provider, which commanded an $11 billion valuation during the 2021 market peak before cooling significantly in secondary trading.

Bending Spoons, which debuted on the public market in July with an $18 billion valuation, follows a consistent playbook for this acquisition. The company targets established brands that are trading at substantial discounts to their private funding rounds. Once acquired, Bending Spoons typically moves to streamline product offerings and reduce headcount to drive profitability, a strategy previously applied to brands like Evernote, WeTransfer, and Vimeo. Founder Luca Ferrari noted that the integration aims to accelerate innovation across Airtable’s existing data management workflows.
