The M6 chip serves as the centerpiece of this release, offering a 12-core GPU that yields 30% faster graphics and 25% quicker AI workloads than its predecessor, the M5. Apple claims the processor delivers 13 times the LLM prompt-processing speed of the original M1 model. The laptop ships with 16GB of unified memory, upgradeable to 32GB, and supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 connectivity. Physical ports include three Thunderbolt 4 slots, HDMI, and an SDXC card reader, while the chassis retains the familiar 12-megapixel camera and MagSafe 3 charging.
